Stage 1 remaps & remapping These are for standard cars or cars with just one or small factor modifications ie possibly an induction kit. Power gains are usually around 10- 15% percent on NA engines and a 30% gain of BHP and torque on turbocharged engines.

Diesel remaps nearly always produce more economy at these low levels of tune, mainly due to the torque increase carrying the weight a lot better also increasing MPG

Stage 1 tuning maps Keeping the car within manufacturer tolerances but optimizing it for driver preferences and extracting the very best from a stock OEM setup in good condition.

Stage 2 remaps & remapping Pushes the performance further with more emphasis on power an performance. More modifications are required to support a stage 2 map. Exhaust and intake are commonly upgraded and on turbo cars intercoolers.

Stage 3 tune are flat out performance maps possibly with some modifications that are not road legal ie decats and DPF deletes. Please be warned that some of these modifications can fail your MOT.

As well the modification may consist of bigger turbo's or hybrids, and possibly bigger injectors.
